Dr. Melissa Gillock was born and raised in central Oklahoma. She spent four years in San Antonio, Texas, earning her undergraduate degree in biology from Trinity University. After working in research labs throughout college, she decided to pursue her childhood dream of becoming a veterinarian and returned to her home state, receiving her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Oklahoma State University in the spring of 2011. Her professional interests include ophthalmology and internal medicine.
Dr. Gillock joined Britton Road in 2015, and currently lives in Norman with her husband Richard and their two rescued dogs and two cats. In addition to spending time with her critters, Dr. Gillock enjoys, running, hiking, reading, knitting, traveling, and playing the piano. Dr. Gillock is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Oklahoma Veterinary Medical Association.
